"Dear Dr. Morris: Last Friday night I was in the stands for the Chalmette vs Jesuit baseball game when the baseball hit the Chalmette High catcher in the mouth, knocking out his front tooth. I saw you run onto the field to give him your immediate medical assistance and work with a dentist's assistant, who was present at the game, to make sure that the player had an appointment within thirty minutes with a local dentist.
It would be easy for you to just remain in the stands and let much less qualified people handle the situation. I also understand that the next day you followed up on his condition and offered your expertise to his parents.
Although you didn't notice me, I stood close by and watched you carefully insert the tooth and make sure that the player was going to be seen that night.
I want to thank you for caring enough to help out one of our players, who you do not know, when he was in need. In a world where kindness is sometimes forgotten, I thank you for showing that there are still people who are kind and caring."
